Necker Flip Challenge

Place your necker on your foot, flip it up and try to catch it over your head in one go (it's harder than it looks). Film your attempt and send it to media@rushcliffescouts.org.uk or tweet us @RushcliffeScout with the hashtag #RDSNeckerFlip and we will feature some of the best attempts on our Facebook page. Everyone has a different idea of what a challenge looks like. Choose two personal challenges you'd love to accomplish and dive right in. To earn your badge, complete two challenges below activities below, we have chosen the first challenge and have some suggestions for your second challenge. Keep a record and bring in for your leaders when we return to meetings. You should choose one of the challenges and we will choose the other. The challenges should be things that you find difficult but can complete with some effort and commitment. They can be to do with any part of your life, for example home, school or Beavers. All Sections: "Scouting At Home" Badge

This is a special badge Nottinghamshire Scouts has put together to support #TheGreatIndoors! In addition to all the brilliant ideas on the Scout website ( https://www.scouts.org.uk/the-great-indoors/ ), County have put this badge together that can be awarded to our Young people once face to face scouting resumes. We would hope that every Young Person in Rushcliffe will have the opportunity to complete this badge, as it will mark the continuation of their Scouting adventure during these challenging circumstances. You will notice that part of the requirement is to design the physical badge itself. Please forward these designs to Jacob ( dyc.jacob@rushcliffescouts.org.uk ) by Wednesday 10 th  of June. The winning design from each district will receive a prize, and the overall winning design from County will receive a prize and be made into the badge itself. When face to face Scouting resumes, groups will be able to order these badges  free of charge  from County for those Young People

Scouts: Skills Challenge Award – Part 1

Everyone has to start somewhere, and practice makes perfect. Hone your skills over a six-week period, and see how quickly you’ll soar! To earn your badge, do all the activities below, keep a record and bring in for your leaders when we return to meetings. There are more tasks to do to complete the award but we will look at these later or with your leaders once you get back to Scout meetings. Cubs: Our Skills Challenge Award Part 1

Change a tyre. Pen a short story. Cook up a storm. This award is all about gaining new skills. To earn your badge, do all the activities below, keep a record and bring in for your leaders when we return to meetings. We will complete the second half of the badge in a future week or when we return to cub meetings.     Our Skills Challenge Award Task 2: Complete three of these four activities on being healthy.
