When you’re out and about having adventures, keeping yourself safe is a must. Find out how to protect yourself in a range of sticky situations.

How to earn your badge:

1.     Try the Dangerous Sculptues activity https://www.scouts.org.uk/activities/dangerous-sculptures/.  Make a model to explain the dangers of playing on or near two of these:

a.    railways

b.    busy roads

c.     building sites

d.    cliffs

e.    canal banks

f.      sand

g.    gravel pits

h.    farmyards

i.       river banks

j.       quarries

k.    moorlands

l.       lakes

 

2.     Watch the video and make a poster about the 4 steps of the water safety code


3.     Make up a safety code of your own choice.

It could be for car passengers, train passengers or the playground.

6.     Watch the Video and make a poster about internet safety

            

 

7.     Memorise your address and your home telephone number or a parent’s mobile phone number.
